Seven to be sentenced for Rafeek murder

SEVEN men involved in an attack on a man who was lured to his death in Rusholme are due to be sentenced on Friday 30 October 2009.

Mohamed Kaleem Rafeek and his friend were found with multiple stab wounds after police were called to Birchfields Road shortly after 6am on Sunday 29 March 2009, following reports of a disturbance. Kaleem was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shah Mohammed Sykendar Ali admitted murder. Six others have pleaded guilty to violent disorder. All seven are due to appear at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square.
