Muslim Jewish forum talks journeys

MANCHESTER’S Muslim Jewish Forum will be discussing the theme of journeys at this month’s meeting on 19 January 2010.

Mominah Choudhury, a children’s service worker from Chorlton, will be leading the event by talking about her personal experience of the Hajj, the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.

Visitors will then be invited to discuss their thoughts on their own spiritual journeys, whether religious or not, with other attendees.

The main purpose of the dialogue sessions is to learn from and respect each other and to work towards further joint ventures.

Choudhury has almost 20 years experience as an outreach worker and has played a variety of different community based roles within adult education, youth and community work and she has also worked in immigration.

If you would like to attend the meeting takes place from 7pm to 9pm at Shakespeare House, 165 Kingsbrook Road, Whalley Range, Manchester M16 8NR.
