Knifeman robs Malik Premier Store

A MAN brandished a large kitchen knife during the robbery of Malik Premier Store in Openshaw.

At 9pm on Friday 26 March 2010, a man walked into the Ashton Old Road shop armed with a knife.

He approached the counter and made his way into the till area.

He then threatened the owner of the shop and stole cash.

The offender is described as white, around 5ft 9ins – 5ft 11ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing black clothing, black gloves and a hooded jacket that covered his face.

Detective Constable Anthony Strong said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have been passing at the time of this robbery.

“We are particularly interested in talking to a man who entered the store and witnessed the incident.”
