Bullying Rochdale cops investigated

EIGHT Rochdale-based cops have been transferred to different stations after an Asian college made allegations of bullying.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is looking in the allegations with help of an independent investigation.

“We take reports of bullying and harassment very seriously and have referred this to the Professional Standards Branch so a full and independent investigation can be conducted,” said Chief Superintendent John O’Hare, of the GMP.

The BBC reports that the Asian officer has madeĀ a formal complaint, citingĀ 18 months of harassment.

Three sergeants and five police constables have now been transferred.
